Dean of Admissions: Why do you want to study in Australia / Canada/the U.K. / the U.S.?
Grace: I think Australia / Canada / the U.K./ the U.S. offers a lot of good schools /colleges / universities with modern facilities and teaching methods, as well as an English-speaking environment.

3.          Professor Hennessy:

4.          Dean King:
Dean King: I notice on your high school transcript that your grades improved dramatically after your sophomore year.  What happened?
Cindy: Well, I realized that if I didn't get my act together, I'd never get into a good college / university, so I really hit the books in my junior year.

Clark: Well, winning the state art contest really meant a lot to me. I spent eight weeks working on one painting, and winning first prize gave me a lot of confidence in my own abilities.

Dean of Admissions: What would you say sets you apart from most of our other applicants?
Kay: Well, I'm sure there are many outstanding applicants, but I think that my participation in a wide range of extracurricular activities during my last two years shows what kind of contribution I can make to your college / university.

Admissions Officer: What do you see yourself doing ten years from now?
Kevin: If everything goes according to plan, I'll be working in an investment firm on Wall Street. Oh, and maybe I'll be married and have a family, too.

Admissions Secretary: What do you think the biggest challenges of college/university life will be for you?
Tina: Living away from home, making all new friends, and keeping up with all my coursework will definitely be challenging, but I'm sure I'm up to it.

9.          Professor Hirsch:
Professor Hirsch: In your opinion, what's the importance of a college / university education? Gary: For me, an ideal college / university education should provide not just job skills, but a wide range of knowledge and the ability to analyze complex situations.
